Lullaby

Operasonic has partnered with the Weill Institute at Carnegie Hall, New York to bring the Lullaby project to Wales!

Lullaby creates a space where parents can celebrate their children and make a musical gift that can be treasured into the future. Operasonic artists have been trained in New York with the team at Carnegie Hall, and now we are actively making lullaby projects in Newport and beyond. Here are some of our recent projects.

2024/25

We're bringing our Lullabies to The Place in Newport, starting 8 November 2024!

Join us for six weeks of music making fun. 11am-1pm on 8 November, 15 November, 22 November, 29 November, 6 December & 13 December.

2022 Cardiff Lullaby

This project was supported by Arts Active and saw us work with 4 community groups across Cardiff. We placed professional musicians with groups of parents and bubbas, ands they worked over 5 weeks to write their very own song for their baby. This project supports family wellbeing and bonding, and helps connects parents, especially new mums, to networks of other new parents.

Artist team: Amruta Garud, Ashley John Long, Yasmine Davies, Stacey Blythe.
